Because skylights are not made to free measurements: VELUX and Roto have their own frame geometries and, depending on the year of construction, different size codes. We therefore make them by window type and work out a Quote — a photo of the type plate is enough. Measuring on site is free of charge.
How do I care for my roller blind?

On a skylight it is enough to use Dusting. In a kitchen a fine film of grease, steam from cooking and the odd splash end up on the fabric over time. That is why for kitchen windows we deliberately recommend individually — the rails and mechanism stay in place.
Dusting is enough; wipe out the rails occasionally. The fabric can be replaced on its own.
How long is the warranty?

There is 5 years on the LEHA technology and 2 years on fabric and installation, guide rails included. Should a defect appear within that time, we remedy it free of charge.
What happens if something isn’t right?

If the blind does not match the quote, we drive to you free of charge, inspect it and replace it. No discussion.
How long does delivery take?

As a special order, delivery after a confirmed quote currently takes a few weeks — we calculate it up to date. Then we arrange an installation appointment to suit you.

Different rules apply to a skylight

A roller blind on a skylight hangs at an angle — without side guides the blind would sag and stand away from the glass. That is why it is always fitted with guides here. Two Guide rails on the left and right hold the fabric close to the glass — in any position, even with the window tilted open. Without them a skylight roller blind does not work. We supply blinds for the common roof windows from VELUX and Roto and other special types. What matters is the exact window type — it is usually on a plate in the sash frame.
What matters with a skylight roller blind

The difference from an ordinary window is the Slope. A free-hanging blind would follow gravity and stand away from the glass — at the latest when the window is tilted open. That is why skylight roller blinds always run in side guide rails, which hold the fabric close to the pane and fix it at any height. Second point: the Window type. Under a roof the sun hits the glass almost perpendicularly, so the room heats up correspondingly fast. On internal roller blind with a light-coloured coated backing reflects part of the radiation. Honestly: external sun protection works better, because it catches the heat before it comes through the glass. Fitted internally is the compromise that works without any intervention on the roof.

Stops exactly where you let go

You pull the chain — and the roller blind stops at any height you like. Fully closed, half open, just a gap: you control light and view steplessly, with no fixed notches. Half open — privacy at the top, a clear view below. Fully closed — the window completely covered, full privacy. You choose in the configurator which side the operating chain hangs on, left or right. On request we also supply the blind with a motor and radio remote control; simply ask us.
