The benefit

Why venetian blinds suit the conservatory

The conservatory quickly becomes a greenhouse in summer. Aluminium venetian blinds slow the heat, break the glare and withstand moisture.

Heat protection Aluminium venetian blind as heat protection in the conservatory

Less greenhouse effect

Aluminium reflects part of the sun before it heats up the room — the conservatory stays usable longer, instead of building up into a greenhouse.

Sit glare-free

A low sun is especially dazzling in the conservatory. Via the slat angle you break the light and still keep the view outside.

Buying advice

How to plan venetian blinds for your conservatory

A conservatory thrives on light — and in summer suffers precisely from it. Without shading, the heat builds up under the glass until the room becomes unusable. Aluminium venetian blinds are a proven solution here: they reflect part of the solar radiation and meter the light steplessly, so the conservatory stays pleasant much longer.

The greatest advantage over fabric hangings is their resilience. Conservatories often hold plants, watering happens, condensation forms on the glass. Aluminium does not swell, does not rust and can be wiped down damp — it stays dimensionally stable for years, where wood or fabric would take damage.

Worth considering is the geometry: conservatories have vertical windows and often a sloped glass roof. For the slopes we use guided venetian blinds so the covering sits neatly. We measure every surface individually and match the solution to your construction.

At the colour shade the rule is: light, reflective slats keep the heat out best, dark ones look more elegant and absorb reflections. You choose from the entire LEHA colour range — we show you samples directly on site.

  • Aluminium reflects solar radiation — less heat build-up in the conservatory
  • Moisture-, condensation- and plant-resistant · wipeable when damp
  • For vertical windows and guided for sloped glass roofs
  • Adjust light and glare steplessly via the slat angle

Conservatories are individual — the right solution is best clarified on site. During the free home consultation in the canton of Zurich we measure every surface and bring samples along.

Very well. Aluminium does not swell, does not rust and is wipeable — ideal with plants, watering and condensation on the glass, where wood or fabric coverings would take damage.

Can sloped glass roofs also be shaded? +

Yes. For slopes we use guided venetian blinds , so the covering sits neatly and does not sag. We measure every surface individually and match the solution to your construction.

Which slat colour is best for the conservatory? +

For maximum heat protection light, reflective tones; dark slats look more elegant and absorb reflections. You choose from the entire LEHA colour range — we show samples on site.
