Why roof windows are special
The sun hits a roof window almost vertically — the room heats up much more than with an upright window. And an ordinary covering would, on the slope, sag downwards. Both problems are solved by a tensioned system that guides the fabric via tension shoes.

Das tensioned pleated blind (at LEHA called VS2) holds in any height and lies close to the glass. As a Honeycomb blind honeycomb blind, the insulating air chamber is added — it insulates against summer heat and, in winter, against cold. Both systems are available from LEHA and MHZ as brand quality.
Keeping heat out specifically
For roof windows, blackout fabrics are worthwhile: they reduce heat build-up the most and, as a bonus, ensure undisturbed sleep under the roof. Those who prefer more light combine them with a daylight-permeable honeycomb fabric.
Mounting and measurements
