Pleated blind for the bathroom – welches Material?

Polyester statt Naturfaser

Im Bad entscheidet das Material. A Pleated blind aus Polyester nimmt kaum Feuchtigkeit auf, bleibt formstabil and trocknet nach dem Duschen schnell wieder from. Naturfasern wie Baumwolle or Linen dagegen können im feuchten Klima aufquellen, sich wellen and ihre saubere Faltung verlieren. For das Bathroom ist der pflegeleichte Kunststoffstoff daher fast immer die richtige Wahl.

Beschichtete Fabrics reflektieren

Viele Bathroom-Pleated blinds haben eine Perlmutt- or Reflexbeschichtung on the back. It reflects part of the sunlight back outside, which heats the room less in summer, and at the same time makes the fabric more opaque. For a bathroom with a lot of sun this is a noticeable advantage.

Honeycomb blind im Bad – ja or nein?

A Honeycomb blind isoliert dank seiner Luftkammern besonders gut – ideal an kalten Fenstern. Im Bad gilt aber: In einem gut belüfteten Raum mit Fenster spricht nichts dagegen. In einem innenliegenden, fensterlosen Bad hält die Wabenstruktur Restfeuchte etwas länger, dort ist ein einlagiger Fabric pflegeleichter. Privacy protection or Blackout?

Fürs Bad steht meist der Privacy protection in the foreground. Opaque or pearl-coated fabrics reliably protect against being seen during the day. At night a silhouette can show through when the light is on – anyone who wants to avoid this completely or stay dark in the morning chooses a verdunkelnden Fabric.

Installation without drilling

In gefliesten Bädern will niemand ins Mauerwerk bohren. A Pleated blind lässt sich mit Clamp brackets clamp directly onto the window sash – entirely without holes. Lüften bleibt Pflicht

Even the best fabric is no substitute for airing. After showering, let the moisture escape and leave the pleated blind open now and then so residual moisture dries off. The fabric stays clean and free of mildew stains for years.
