The three price drivers at a glance
A roller blind price is made up of three items: the Size (area of the fabric width), the Fabric (price group) and the System (simple roller blind, double roller blind or honeycomb roller blind). At vinelly this is always a complete price including mounting hardware – no hidden items.
Factor 1: Size (area)
Billing is by area, i.e. height × width. Important: there is a minimum price per roller blind – so a tiny tilt window doesn't cost an arbitrarily small amount, because the roller tube, cutting and fittings are incurred regardless of size.
Factor 2: Fabric / price group
Roller blind fabrics are tiered into price groups. Roughly from affordable to high-quality:
- Transparent & plain standard fabrics: the most affordable group.
- Opaque and textured fabrics (dimout): mid-range.
- Blackout fabrics: higher group.
- Double roller blind fabrics (day/night): own category – see System.
Factor 3: System
- Simple roller blind (chain drive): the common opaque or transparent roller blind on a single fabric width.
- Without drilling: Clamp brackets instead of screws – usually at no extra cost.
- Double roller blind (day/night): two fabric widths for stepless light and privacy control, surcharge approx. 30–50 % compared to the simple roller blind. See Double roller blind day & night
- Honeycomb roller blind: with insulating air chamber – higher category. Motorisation costs extra.

Where can you save on a roller blind?
- Simple roller blind instead of double roller blind, if you don't need stepless day/night control.
- Standard fabric instead of blackout, where the function allows it.
- Without a motor – the chain drive is entirely sufficient for windows that are normally reachable.
- Free sample order in advance, so the fabric fits right away and no reorder becomes necessary.
