A Pleated blinds is a pleated fabric that can be moved from the top and bottom — ideal for targeted privacy and sun protection without full blackout. A Roller blind is rolled flat up and down and is especially suitable for blackout. Curtains are the textile, decorative solution and also act on the room acoustics. Which option fits depends on the window, function and interior style — we’re glad to advise you.
For real blackout you need an opaque blackout fabric (often with a coating). Day curtains and transparent fabrics only filter the light. In the bedroom we recommend blackout blinds or curtains; you judge it most reliably with a Free sample at your own home.
Not necessarily. Many pleated and roller blinds can be fixed with clamp brackets directly to the window sash — entirely without drilling, ideal for rented apartments. Wall or ceiling mounting is also possible. Which fixing is suitable we clarify during the Home consultation or you see it in our Ausmess-Anleitung.
