Frequently asked questions

Can the bathroom blind also be fitted without drilling?

What does a roller blind for the bathroom cost in Zurich? +

The price depends on window size, fabric and type of installation. In the Online configurator you can work out your price yourself straight away — no registration needed. We do the measuring on site free of charge.

How do I care for my roller blind? +

Yes. The fabric regular dusting. So that the blind sits close to the glass and barely projects, we fit it directly onto the window sash. In a rented flat that is possible thanks to tensioned Measuring on site — free of charge

Dust it, wipe splashes off with a damp cloth. The fabric can be replaced on its own.

How long is the warranty? +

On the mechanism LEHA gives 5 years, on fabric and installation there are 2 years from us on top. If a problem arises within that time, we sort it out free of charge.

What happens if something isn’t right? +

If anything differs from the quote, we drive to you free of charge, inspect it and replace it. No discussion.

How long does delivery take? +

Once the order and dimensions are confirmed, delivery currently takes a few weeks — we calculate it up to date. Then we arrange an installation appointment to suit you.

Privacy that lets daylight through +

From a double blind with day/night stripes to an opaque blackout blind — four ways to a bathroom that stays bright and yet private.

A roller blind solves this +

, so that it sits taut and nothing dangles at grabbing height. Which side it goes on depends on where the bed and the play corner are — we look at that together when measuring.

Roller blinds for the bathroom — which solution fits? +

We make every roller blind to measure. The difference lies in how much view and light you want to control, how suitable for damp rooms the fabric has to be and whether drilling into the window sash is allowed — here you can see when each version is the right one. Two layers of fabric with alternating sheer and opaque stripes: by shifting them slightly you control steplessly between an open view, filtered daylight and full privacy. Ideal for a bathroom where you want brightness during the day and privacy in the evening — without darkening the room at all. A smooth, opaque fabric panel covers the bathroom window completely — no one can see in from outside, whether by day or with the light on in the evening. With CHF 261 or blackout fabric you darken the room further — for a guest WC with no daylight, for instance, or for a relaxed bath.

How to find the right roller blind for your bathroom +

I advise you on your bathroom — right at your window «how private». Bathroom windows are often close to the house next door or face the street, and you want to let light in during the day without giving a view in. That is exactly what the Double roller blind made for exactly that: its two layers of fabric with sheer and opaque stripes can be shifted against each other — sometimes soft daylight comes in, sometimes the opaque stripes close seamlessly for full privacy. If you prefer the bathroom completely closed off, or have an internal bathroom with no daylight at all, choose an opaque blind, with dimout fabric for darkening on request. The second point, and the decisive one in a bathroom, is the Fabric. Hardly any room is so damp: shower steam, splashing water and little air circulation cause simple roller blind fabrics to warp or develop mildew stains over time. We therefore rely on Frequently asked questions about office Roman blinds in Zurich, which can be cleaned with a damp cloth and keep their shape. Light, reflective colours also look friendly in a bathroom and show limescale or water splashes less clearly than dark tones. Third, the Installation; wipe splashes off with a damp cloth. Dab stubborn stains carefully rather than rubbing. We replace damaged fabric clamp brackets, entirely without drilling — without a trace, and taken off again in seconds when you move out. Important with tilt and turn windows: in the individually version the fabric runs in side guides and stays flat against the glass even when tilted, instead of swinging freely.

The first question in a bathroom is almost never «how dark», but +

What you can count on +

30° Easy-care & washable Washable at 30° or professionally cleanable. Care instructions included. Lightfast & durable Premium fabrics from LEHA and JAB Anstoetz — colourfast for years, even at a south-facing window. Made to exact measurements Accurate to the millimetre, to your measurements. Can the bathroom blind also be fitted without drilling? +

The most popular is the Double roller blind (duo): with its alternating sheer and opaque stripes you control steplessly between daylight and full privacy. If you want the bathroom completely private or darkened, choose an opaque blind with dimout fabric. In both cases the decisive factor is a fabric suitable for damp rooms and washable. Yes — provided the fabric is made for it. For bathrooms we use Several windows in the same room — what to look out for?, which do not ripple with shower steam and splashes and can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Good ventilation still matters: wherever damp air stands permanently, that does every blind good. In a bathroom we advise against simple fabrics that are not suitable for damp rooms. A double blind consists of two layers of fabric running one behind the other, with alternating sheer and opaque stripes. Shift the layers against each other and the opaque stripes either line up exactly (full privacy) or sit offset against the sheer ones (filtered daylight). That way you control view and light steplessly — particularly practical in a bathroom, because you keep the brightness during the day and are still protected.

Stops exactly where you let go +

You pull the chain — and the roller blind stops at any height you like. Fully closed, half open, just a gap: you control light and view steplessly, with no fixed notches. Half open — privacy at the top, a clear view below. Fully closed — the window completely covered, full privacy. You choose in the configurator which side the operating chain hangs on, left or right. On request we also supply the blind with a motor and radio remote control; simply ask us.

How to measure your roller blind — and what gets deducted +

You give us the finished width and height — we work out the rest. So that the blind runs freely and the chain has room at the side, the fabric panel is slightly narrower than the window. The sketch shows the deductions: outer edge to outer edge of the blind. With wall or ceiling fitting the brackets sit approx. 23 mm inside on each side — that is already included. Fabric panel narrower than the tube — the fabric is 17 mm narrower than the roller tube on the left (the chain side) and 12 mm on the right — so it does not rub anywhere and the chain runs freely.

Recommended dimensions for installation +

If the blind is to sit in front of the window reveal — on the wall or ceiling — measure a little more generously so that no light falls in at the sides. These sketches show the recommended overlaps: approx. 7.5 cm on each side, left and right.

At a workplace it is first of all about +

That way the blind stays dimensionally stable and hygienic for years, even next to the shower and bath. The compact cassette sits close to the glass, the fabric runs tensioned in side guides and does not swing out even with the window tilted. Double blind = control view & light steplessly, without darkening Wipeable fabrics suitable for damp rooms, for steam & splashes Without drilling: clamp brackets on the plastic sash, ideal for rented flats Tensioned and guided — stays flat against the glass even with the window tilted Not sure which fabric will hold up in a bathroom?
