Buying advice
A conservatory consists almost entirely of glass — tall, wide fronts, often running around corners. This is exactly what Vertical blinds are made for: a single system spans the entire width in a calm look, instead of lining up many individual panels side by side.
The greatest benefit is the Light direction. By turning the slats you break the sun and the glare without darkening the conservatory — the view into the garden is retained. Especially with low morning and evening sun, that is worth gold in the conservatory.
On exits to the patio and garden vertical blinds play their second strength: they slide completely to the side and clear the door. After passing through, you simply slide the panels back across — unlike a roller blind, which blocks the way.
Note: vertical blinds are for vertical surfaces. The sloping glass roof of a conservatory we shade with guided venetian blinds — often we combine both systems so that window and roof are solved from a single source. Available slat widths are 89 and 127 mm.
